We arrived in Krabi back in 2010 as tourists looking for a bit of fun. We traveled to Koh Poda, Railay, The hang Nak hiking trail, Tiger cave temple and more. We knew little of what Krabi had to offer but we loved the place; Krabi’s beautiful karsts, blue waters and so much more. After a few days in Krabi we decided to travel around further throughout in Krabi and therefore were looking for bike rental in Krabi, we soon found a shop, sign a rental contract, handed over our passports and took off into the jungle!
Some 13 years later we’re still here; now the only difference is that we’re not renting bikes we’re offing our bikes for rent. We began by first renting to friends for the first few years, after this we decided to open up to the larger public and and offer our bikes throughout Krabi. We began with a few bikes and have steadily been growing ever since. Now in our 7th year of business we’ve grown to a small fleet of just over 60 bikes.
Krabi Moto Rentals was founded by travelers who understand the feeling of traveling to a new place but not really understanding what to do there or how to do it. As the number of scams continued to grow in Krabi (we were scammed on our first bike rental experience) we decided to start our own company to rent motorbikes and focus on honest trustworthy service for our cliental. We founded Krabi Moto Rentals not only to provide travelers with a friendly trustworthy service for motorbike rental in Krabi but also a place they can come to for advice on where to go and how to get there.
We understand the frustration in the idea of handing over your passport as a form of deposit for the bike you rent. Your passport is a rather important document and to keep it safe is of utmost importance to travelers.
This is why we don’t require a passport deposit in order to take a bike for us, we only ask for a copy of your passport and the standard deposit of 2,000THB (smaller bikes) or 3,000THB (larger bikes). All of which is returned to you upon the return of the bike and the inspection reveals no damage.
