About the Yamaha GT 125

The Yamaha GT 125cc is a sleek and compact scooter, ideal for city commuting and short trips. Powered by a 125cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, it offers smooth and efficient performance with low fuel consumption. Whether you’re navigating busy city streets or heading out to explore the beautiful surroundings of Krabi, Thailand, this scooter is designed to provide convenience and reliability.

Pros:

  1. Lightweight and Easy Handling: Weighing only around 98 kg, the Yamaha GT 125cc is incredibly easy to handle, especially in tight spaces and busy traffic. Its compact size makes it perfect for navigating the narrow streets and congested areas of Krabi Town.
  2. Fuel Efficiency: This scooter is designed with economy in mind. It boasts impressive fuel efficiency, averaging around 45-50 km/l, which is ideal for longer days of riding around Krabi’s beaches and natural parks without worrying about refueling often.
  3. User-Friendly Features: The GT 125cc comes with a spacious underseat storage compartment, large enough to fit a helmet or other essentials. It also features a clear digital dashboard, giving riders easy access to important information at a glance. The electric starter adds extra convenience.
  4. Stylish Design: The GT 125cc has a modern, sporty design that appeals to younger riders or those who want a stylish yet practical scooter. Its sleek lines and dynamic looks are sure to stand out in any environment.
  5. Smooth Ride: With a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), the GT 125cc provides smooth acceleration and a comfortable ride, whether you're cruising along Krabi's coastal roads or zipping through the city.

Cons:

  1. Limited Power for Long Trips: While the 125cc engine performs well in urban environments and on short rides, it lacks the power needed for high-speed highways or long-distance touring. If you're planning to cover vast distances in Krabi or head out on the highways, you may find the performance underwhelming.
  2. Small Wheels: The smaller wheel size, common in scooters, can make handling more challenging on rough or uneven terrain. For riders venturing off the main roads in Krabi or exploring unpaved paths, the GT 125cc might not offer the best stability.
  3. Basic Suspension: While the suspension works well for urban streets, it may struggle to absorb bumps on uneven roads, making it less ideal for exploring rugged areas.

Ideal Rider for Exploring Krabi:

The Yamaha GT 125cc is an excellent choice for urban explorers and casual riders looking to enjoy Krabi’s more accessible areas. It’s perfect for cruising along Ao Nang Beach, visiting local markets, and effortlessly navigating Krabi Town. Its lightweight and fuel-efficient design make it a smart option for budget-conscious travelers or new riderswho need a reliable and easy-to-handle scooter. However, if you plan to explore Krabi’s more rugged landscapes or need to tackle long highway stretches, a more powerful bike might be a better choice.
